Although LEDs can successfully replace incandescent and other forms of illumination in almost all cases, there are some considerations which must be taken into account.

Unlike incandescent lamps, LEDs produce light in a single wavelength and a single direction. To make them work in a variety of applications, we can alter variables such as the angle of illumination, the intensity, the color and the base. We can design cluster arrays to increase the amount of illumination, or package them as bargraphs or with right angles.

If you have an application (particularly an OEM application,) which you think might work in LED, we urge you to call and talk to one of our design engineers. If your application qualifies, we will design and produce a prototype and then refine it until it precisely meets your needs and expectations.

Here is a picture of a Helicopter Pad Landing Light we custom designed and built for Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, OR

They were having problems with their regular incandescent lamps burning out as frequently as once a week and since the lamps were in explosion proof glass containers, it took approx. 2 hours to change just one burned out lamp
Since changing to our LED Helicopter Pad Landing Light (one year ago) they have not experienced any failures.
